MidCentral DHB and The Factory are teaming up to support innovation at PN Hospital.
The purpose of The Cutting Edge is to identify innovative ideas that will contribute to improving patient health outcomes, and to guide these ideas through a journey of development and application at PN Hospital.
The Factory’s role is to support early stage innovation from concept to realisation, through one-on-one support, connection with collaborators and access to funding.
The Factory has been helping to identify intellectual property and develop innovation emanating from the region’s research cluster since 2005, incubating over 40 startup companies and raising over $23m in investment.
Jane has a background in business advisory and is a qualified accountant who has worked in organisations of all sizes. Jane has a great eye for detail and ability to navigate and understand systems. Jane has worked with a range of publicly funded research to support and develop innovative technology.
James has worked with multi-national companies right through to successful start-ups. James has a strong background in software sales and marketing, so has a nose for good ideas and a network of people to connect them with. James works closely with a range of the innovative ideas that come through The Factory to accelerate them forward.
Nick is always sniffing out the most up-to-date innovative news and trends to keep ahead of what's happening globally in healthcare. Nick has a hand in a range of the early stage ideas that come through The Factory to support their progress. Nick is great at helping start-ups understand and identify their market and customers.
